Roundup!

A lot has gone on this week so I thought it might be handy to put it all in one place for you. So, in case you missed it, here’s what happened this week:

First, you guys asked for it, and we finally got it. HarperTeen has released the music from the trailer for The One which, as it turns out, was made especially for that video. You can download it here.

Second, Margot tagged me in the Epic Reads Book Tag. The video is below. If you want to participate, make a video, label it Epic Reads Book Tag, answer the questions, and tag your friends!

Third, I may have done some normal, non-interesting, totally average readings of quotes from The Selection series. If you want to see, here you go.

And finally, my first round of events are up. Yes, I will be going on tour for The Heir. Dates and cities will be coming very soon! And, yes, there are some international trips in the works, but I cannot talk about them until they’re final.

I think that’s pretty much everything. Oh, I also saw this guy. Now we’re done.

The Heir, Events, and The Siren!

Hello Selectioners! I have three things I need to update you on, so go get some hot chocolate and snuggle up for a bit… okay, ready?

First, this is news that you should know by now, but in case you’ve missed it, we finally know if Maxon and America are having a boy or a girl. Turns out… it’s both! Yes, we have Schreave twins coming! And as far as who will be born first, it’s our baby girl. What does that mean? How will her/their future unfold? Well, that’s all to come. For now, hope you’re excited to know about the babies, and, of course, stay tuned for more Heir related news coming soon!

Second, the year is starting to wind down, and I have a handful of final events on the horizon. First, I have a visit to Costco in Winston-Salem, NC this weekend. It’s a bit of an interesting situation, so click here for info you might need if you’re coming. I’ll also be heading to the Netherlands as well as YallFest in November. Once I have my final schedule for these trips, I’ll post them on my Events page.

And, finally, some news I’ve been DYING to share! If you’ve recently tried to get a copy of The Siren, you might have noticed it’s kind of impossible. And that’s because IT’S BEING RE-RELEASED THROUGH HARPERTEEN! What does this mean, exactly? Well, first, it means you can't get a copy right now. But mostly it means I get to go back through with my editor and make it the story I always hoped it could be. It will sparkle in ways I couldn’t make it on my own, and that makes me crazy happy! It will also be released in hardback with a new cover and some bonus material for the fancy new bind up! We don’t have a solid release date yet, but it’s tentatively Winter 2016. So early 2016ish. I can’t tell you how happy this makes me. I’m still in love with Kahlen, Akinli, and even the Ocean herself, so I’m thrilled that it will be more polished and available in stores in just about a year.

So, that’s everything I can share for now! Which is a shame because there are even more awesome things happening behind the scenes that I can’t wait to tell you about. Hopefully soon! Later, nerds!

Update on Brazil!

Hello, lovelies! Ok, so there are still a lot of questions to answer about my upcoming trip to Brazil, but I wanted to go ahead and hand over what I know. Honestly, it’s not much at the moment, but stay tuned for further updates!

My schedule:

Friday, October 25: Panel and signing at the FLICA festival in Cachoeira

Monday, October 28: Signing (and Q&A?) in Rio de Janeiro

Tuesday, October 29: Signing (and Q&A?) in Sao Paulo

And that’s about it! See, not much! But I will tell you this: If I’m taking the time to travel to another country, you can bet that I want to meet you. So I’m going to do everything I can to make myself available to you all while I’m there.

Depending on limitations imposed by the festival or bookstores, there may be a cap on how many books I can sign or how pictures are taken, but know that I absolutely want to have a moment with you, even if it only lasts a few seconds. You can help things go smoothly by following any guidelines that are set in place by the event makers and trying to be patient as sometimes those signings can take a while. I wasn’t expecting things to be as big as they were in the Philippines, and you guys seem just as excited! So, just in case one or more of these events gets into the hundreds of people again, know that I would never leave without signing everyone’s books, so don’t stress if you end up being the last person in line.

As our times and locations are finalized, I will post more on my events page. Thanks for having me, Brazil! Callaway and I are getting very excited for our visit!

FAQs, Novellas & Other Cool Things!

First: As I've been going through the reader mail and doing Question Monday on twitter, a lot of the same things come up. I thought it'd help to have those all collected in one place, so we now have a FAQ page! I'm sure it will grow, but if you're looking for general stuff, it's a good place to start.

Second: The novella has a title! It's called *drum roll* THE PRINCE! More info on this very soon.

Third: As you all know, I self-published The Siren back in 2009. Turns out it's recently become a bestseller with my publisher, iUniverse! I can only attribute that you guys, so thank you!

And Fourth: There have been a few updates over on the Events page. Stay tuned because it looks like I'll be touring next spring! Woot!

Contests, News, The Selection

Two Things:

First, I just want you all to know I'll be haning out a BEA on Thursday, May 26th, and I'll be participating in the author speed dating at the Book Blogger Con on Friday, May 27th. There's more info on the events page, so check it out, and I hope I see some of you there.

Second, if you'd like to maybe win a galley of The Selection, please consider giving to my friends Rob & Jess.
